Trip Schedule
Pick up from your Hotel/Riad in Marrakech in the morning, acrossing High Atlas mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka (2260m), to reach to Ait benhaddou village, the fortified ksar with its beautiful Kasbahs. Ait Benhaddou has served as a natural scenery for many movies producers. After lunch we will head to Dades via Ouarzazate, palm grove of Skoura and Valleyy of Roses, where we will spend the first night.
After breakfast your guide will take you on a 4 hours walk along the gorges and canyons of Dades, we reach the oasis and the Berber family for an open air lunch, before returning to the Hotel. Dinner and overnight accommodation in the riad.
After breakfast in the hotel, drive back through the valley to see the amazing rock formation “the monkey toes”, and the still-standing 19th century Kasbah of Ait Yul. Leave the Dades valley towards Tinrghir and the Todra valley. Watch the panoramic views of the old mud Berber villages overlooking the valley. Get to the Gorge and walk under the 300m high red cliff, where many Rock-climbers come to enjoy their preferred sport. Continue our trip to Erfoud and Rissani where we have lunch; afterwards, we leave for the village of Merzouga , where you will spend the night in a hotel at the dunes line.
After a quiet and memorable night in the dunes of Erg Chebbi sand, you can watch the sunrise over the dunes we go back with the camels to the hotel for breakfast and shower and then leave for Rissani to explore the tourist area including the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif and the palm grove as a part of your exploration. Lunch in Nkoub, then continue to Ouarzazate through the Draa Valley. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Ouarzazate.
Transfer to Ait benhaddou village, and visit the World Heritage Site, one of Morocco’s most spectacular ksours (fortified villages). Continue to Marrakech with a detour to the traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet and visit the Kasbah el Glaoui and crossing the high Atlas mountain.
