Our High Atlas Mountains Trekking and Sahara Desert Tours will give you the chance to experience the two extremes of Morocco’s climate at a slower pace. These adventure tours will allow you to experience the authentic Berber culture at first hand. You will embark on a challenging trek to the Berber villages and green valleys or up Mount Toubkal where you will be rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding valleys. You will then swap the cool atmosphere of the mountains for the heat of the Sahara Desert where your tour will allow you to experience the Gorge du Dades; explore the Todra Gorge with its 300m high gorge walls; camel trek into the Sahara Desert and stay overnight in a Berber camp; visiting ancient Kasbahs on the way.
Camel trekking is a part of the tradition of the country as nomads have used camels as a form of transport for centuries. You will follow in their footsteps and travel by camel on the ridge of a dune in the late afternoon with nothing around you but sand, tranquility and open blue sky. The infinite sea of sandy dunes all in different shades of gold is the perfect setting to experience a once-in-a-lifetime getaway filled with adventure, fun, and unique experiences.
If none of our listed itineraries and tours meets your expectation and you would like to tailor make your own high Atlas Mountain adventure, just tell us the things you want to see and do, and we will customize a tour to fit your specific needs.
